I can’t stop myself. I love to plan things. So here’s another project I planned. For this one, the goal was to complete something that is simple and I can get lots of posts out of and it will be good to try new things like practicing holding my pen looser. And the first is . . .

Donkey Truckers!!

I did not think that would go as well as it did. To get more posts out of the thing, and practice “cartooning” I am also posting all my process sketches.

Test, test, 123, test

But I have already done a second week. This time…

Viking sea otters.

I am testing out digital coloring with these because it is so much faster. And faster means easier on my wrist, the poor dear.

More otters. M'otters?

There was a hot second during the coloring phase of this where I was tempted to perfect it, but I realized it soon enough, pressed Ctrl+Z a few times and got back to it.

Toodleoo

And that’s that. Parasolia is about to start getting posts again because my wrist is feeling better enough to draw for more than 10 minutes. Which is double good because I also have Artema Issue 4 to draw. I have a flower book coming to proofread in the beginning of September, but that should be fun and maybe a good break for my wrist.

Stay curious,
Angela

I love these little characters ~

They strike a fun balance between "realistic" and "cartoony"!
