The snow has all melted, the ground is beginning to thaw. And we even had watery rain last night, leaving puddles everywhere for Wally to get his fill of driveway juice.
Gosh, I have some stuff happening. This Saturday (oh, geez. that’s tomorrow), I am giving a demo at the Jansen in Lynden for a private gala they are holding. I am going to make a piece or two for sale at ECCC.
Which is the other live event. Less than 2 weeks to go. My eyelids are all a-twitchy.
Wee blobbery bag. Just about the size of my palm! This was a test fabric stamp that did not work. So I scraped up a bunch of the fabric paint left over from my other tests and smeared it over the bad print job to get this dark version. This weekend, I will do some final testing and print up a bunch of totes to bring to ECCC. They will be about $30, I think.

This is an older guy that I never found the time to photograph. Well, I never found the time to get everything set up so Abe could photograph it so I gave in and did it myself. Abe is worlds better at this than I am but also a busy guy.

Look at his little feet, you guys!
I also made this sheep using punch needle. What a wild tool. I thought it might make a sort of back-stitch style embroidery faster, but I am still getting used to the tool and haven’t tried it yet. After ECCC.

There are tiny little glass eyes buried in the face, which you can just see in the last image.
My Curious about Curios: Bones class is coming up the weekend before ECCC! I will try to do a little video so you can see what that means.
New section! There are some fantastic creators out there and I am always trying out different people’s patterns to learn and make my own better. These two are currently in process.

Blue guy is Sea Captain by Cozy Blue. I love the single-color pattern that is essentially a line drawing. Using not black gives it even more character.
The other is little magic house by Little Dear. I am trying out all sorts of methods on it. The chair in the middle left has a weave stitch using fine (hand-spun) yarn. I used that yarn on the balls of yarn in the bowl next to it. I have some glow-in-the-dark thread I plan to use on various items, like the ghost portrait and stars.
So I am still playing the brains out of Cozy Grove. I really wish they had an art-of book or something. I love it so much. I finished some of the character stories, and they are so sad and sweet. I miss my little friends. Especially Patrice Furbac (postman).
I hope your day gets better from here!

P.S. Wally is the first and last on the property who can stand on the pond when it freezes. He loves it.
