On chilly morning, a delighted piece of mail went out to zoom across the country. I love cold weather. I’m such a scaredy cat that cold weather and rain are about my favorite adrenaline rush. Anything more is too much.
This was Abe’s and my Krsmnas card a few years ago and I just love it. So I am retooling it to be a printable card. It will go up in the Gumroad store this weekend. I will also have printed copies for sale in Storeenvy. It’s from a wee Krmanus comic I made a few years ago.
The inside says: “May your holidays be filled with c’ookies. // Blessings of the Old Ones upon you”
I hope you find this as delightful as I do.
I haven’t even had time to wash or iron this bad boy, and he still needs a ribbon and bell, but here’s the first embroidery pattern I have designed! This will also be going in the Gumroad store this weekend. I accidentally drew the bones too detailed to start, so I am going to use that one to make a BIGGER version, too. This is about 4x4 inches.
Reminder: I have some classes coming up at The Jansen next year! I already have some sign-ups for the kid’s comics class, so come join us. I am super looking forward especially to the curio classes.
Here’s an odd one: How to Listen to and Understand Opera (Great Courses). OK, so to be fair, I have loved opera since I was a kid. It’s what I would listen to while cleaning my room. I even did the paperwork to get a free opera sampler CD from the Seattle Metropolitan Opera, and I still have it and listen to it whenever I clean. And yet, I have never gone to an actual opera.
OK, back to the recommendation part. It was delightful! It is free with an Audible subscription through the end of the month. The teacher is a joy to listen to. He has so much passion. He really gets into it while telling the crazy opera plotlines. There’s lots to listen to but he explains each piece before playing it. I can’t recommend this enough. I might even end up buying it and listening to it again.
I hope your day gets better from here!

P.S. I came down from work to find Wally napping in the sun on the couch. I woke him up being delighted at his cuteness.
