Well, Whatcom County made the national news for how dang cold it’s been. I find it delightful, but I do not need to drive anywhere.
Emerald City ComicCon, table K-18. Do come say hello. I’m right in the middle of the room, pretty much. I have a couch to sleep on and a bunch of books just arrived despite the snow. I can’t wait to schlep around downtown Seattle…
I have some embroidery ideas. Some of them, I am going to repurpose older illustrations that I didn’t realize at the time were begging to be embroidery!
I have a few slugs going. Not all of them are screaming. I am getting ready to put together a more concise branding strategy for myself. As part of that, I got these little “diorama” boxes to help with taking pictures consistently.
The backing of this slug is a slice of wood that I painted with watercolor. I have done some watercolor on pine before, but I think this is something else and it went much better. Pine is too inconsistent a texture.
Did I tell you about Tacoma FD? It is currently on Netflix and I adore it. Very very funny. Abe and I have taken on a lot of their lingo. Lingo AF! It’s a silly little show that had us laughing out of our seats. Unfortunately, the [whatever it is you call the company who backs a show since it is no longer a “channel”] decided to change their business plan and move away from “scripted comedy” which is pretty much my second favorite TV (after cozy murder mystery).
I hope your day gets better from here!

P.S. Wally loves the snow. Loves it. He just wants to sit in it all day long. And wants me to kick it in his face. We got him a cute little raincoat, which I had to modify to fit his cute little corgi body.
